Pi Mile course named for alumnus

Carey and Sally Brown talk with President Wayne Clough following the dedication of the running trail named in honor of their son, Tyler, an alumnus and former student body president who was killed last September while serving with the U.S. Army’s 9th Infantry Regiment in Iraq.

The trail is marked with a plaque outside the Campus Recreation Center, as well as several smaller markers to guide runners along the 3.14-mile course. It is also the route for the Alumni Association’s annual Pi Mile Road Race, planned for April 16.
