Payroll, HR deadlines posted for coming year

The offices of Human Resources and Payroll are providing the Institute community with some information concerning the new year.

— W2/1042S—Validate mailing addresses through TechWorks prior to Dec. 31. The documents will be available on TechWorks by Jan. 31, 2009.

— W5 Earned Income Credit—Those qualifying for the Earned Income Credit must file a new W5 for 2009, which must be submitted to Payroll by Dec. 19.

— Foreign National Employees—Those qualifying for tax treaty benefits must visit the Human Resources office prior to Dec. 15 to update their compliances.

— W4/G4—Those claiming “Exempt” on line seven of the W4 or line 8 of the G4 must file a new document by Feb. 13, 2009.

— Terminated employees—Employees terminated are now able to access their TechWorks information for 24 months.
