Old CE bulding renovation dedicated

Dedication of the Old CE building renovation at Georgia Tech
Director of Capital Planning and Space Management Howard Wertheimer, Provost Gary Schuster, School of Economics Chair Patrick S. McCarthy, Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Dean Sue V. Rosser and History, Technology and Society Chair Ronald H. Bayor mark the dedication of the Old CE building on Cherry Street.

On March 30, the Old Civil Engineering (CE) building was dedicated after undergoing a thorough renovation. According to Howard Wertheimer, director of Capital Planning and Space Management, this marked the first LEED-certified Board of Regents historic renovation project.

The Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts has relocated the Schools of Economics and History, Technology and Society into the building. “In the 21st century, none of the key problems in our society will be solved by those who do not understand the liberal arts and collaborative education,” said Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Gary B. Schuster at the dedication.
